Following its tenure with Canada 3000, the aircraft settled at Air North in the Yukon until its retirement in 2011, resting gracefully in Whitehorse.
In 2023, a transformative chapter commenced for the Boeing 737 C-GNAU as it underwent meticulous cutting, paving the way for its reincarnation as an exclusive Aviationtag in 2024. Despite its aged exterior, the Boeing 737 C-GNAU promises to captivate aviation enthusiasts worldwide with its timeless allure and storied legacy.

Since its inception in 1977 by Joe Sparling and Tom Wood, Air North has emerged as a beacon of excellence in Yukon's aviation landscape. Initially founded as Air North Charter and Training, the airline's humble beginnings were rooted in offering charter flights to the mining industry and flight training services. However, Air North soon outgrew its initial scope, expanding its fleet to include a diverse range of aircraft, from Cessna 206 to Douglas DC-3 and DC-4 aircraft.
Over the years, Air North's growth trajectory has been marked by strategic advancements, including the transition to Hawker Siddeley 748 turboprops and the acquisition of Boeing 737 jets. The airline's commitment to delivering authentic Yukon hospitality has earned it widespread acclaim, culminating in accolades such as being named Canada's Best Airline by Tripadvisor in 2020.
At its core, Air North embodies the spirit of Yukon, offering seamless connectivity between the territory and key destinations across Canada. With a firm emphasis on exceptional service and community engagement, Air North continues to uphold its legacy as Yukon's premier airline, delivering unparalleled experiences to passengers and stakeholders alike.

I don´t think I have ever seen a 737-200 in person, but that´s makes it even more special imo :)
The 737-200 is a perfect complement to the colorful Hawker Siddeley HS748 release. Overall, two very good releases.
I would like more of them :)I would LOVE to hear the sound of those engines. Since the Boeing 737 is a quite common airplane nowadays, everyone knows how one looks like. But I guess most people will never know how a Boeing 737-200 will sound like! :D
The 737-200 was the first aircraft that I flew on circa 1973/73. Flying from Luton Airport to probably Barcelona on a Britannia Airways 200 for my first foreign holiday to the Costa Brava. I wish that I remembered the flight more than I do. I do know that the seat would have been more comfortable, even on a charter airline, than on most modern single aisle aircraft. And more comfortable. The 737 in it’s various versions is the aircraft that I have flown on more than any other. I’ll be adding this to my collection where it will become my fourth oldest Aviationtag.
Okay only a new white one, and an other Boeing.
Oh wait a minute, a 737-200 I don’t have it 😂
