Our latest edition takes off just in time for the start of the summer holidays in France: The former Corsair Boeing 747 F-GTUI reinforces the Aviationtag Great.

The F-GTUI was delivered to United Airlines in August 1992 with MSN 26875 and initially had the registration N186UA. In 2005, French leisure airline Corsair acquired the Boeing 747-422 and registered it in France, only to lease it to Garuda Indonesia shortly thereafter. After half a year in Indonesia, the F-GTUI returned to France before returning to Garuda in 2009.

Finally, in 2010, she returned to Corsair International for good and was mainly used on long-haul leisure flights, including to the Caribbean and Mauritius.

In 2020, the F-GTUI was phased out and finally found its final resting place in Great Britain. This is where we came across the Boeing 747 and are very happy to present this amazing aircraft to you today as the newest Aviationtag edition!

We send ours Aviationtags all over the world. You have the choice between Economy Class
Shipping as Warenpost with Deutsche Post or 1st Class shipping with DHL Express.

Note: Every tag is unique. Depending on the plane, tags may vary in terms of haptics, material thickness and colour. Small blemishes bear witness to the plane’s long history and are an authentic reminder of its glory days over the clouds. Small scratches, flaky paint and imperfections are totally normal and give our Aviationtags their unique charm – the charm of a vintage product crafted from upcycled materials. These quirks are not the result of the production process, they simply reflect the state of the aircraft material we use when it was extracted.

If you want to use it as a key-chain or bag-tag we strongly suggest to use the Aviationtag Protection Cover.

Boeing 747: The Boeing 747 is a wide-body, four-engine jetliner which rose to aviation fame in the late 1960s. The first 747 completed its virgin flight in 1969 and remained the largest passenger jet in the world until 2005. Its wingspan is 64.44 m and the vertical elongation at the wingtip can be up to 16 m. It is also well known for its “hump” silhouette which earned it the nickname Jumbo Jet. Compared to previous 747s, the most significant aerodynamic improvement in the 747-400 is the wing size, which is 1.8 m (6 ft) longer with a 6 ft. high winglet that is angled upwards and slightly outward.
