On November 20, 2009, Air France achieved a historic milestone by introducing the Airbus A380, with
registration F-HPJA, into its fleet. This momentous occasion not only marked the airline's entry into the era of superjumbo jets but also positioned it as the first European carrier to operate this groundbreaking aircraft.
The Airbus A380, renowned for its iconic double-decker design and colossal size, is one of the most remarkable achievements in modern aviation. It boasts the capacity to carry up to 853 passengers in a two-class configuration or approximately 555 passengers in a typical three-class layout. pivotal role in providing passengers with unrivaled comfort and entertainment during long-haul journeys. With spacious cabins, cutting-edge in-flight entertainment, and a focus on passenger well-being, Air France's A380s set the standard for luxurious air travel.
However, as the aviation landscape evolved, marked by shifting market dynamics and the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Air France made the difficult decision to retire its A380 fleet. This decision marked the end of an era and a bittersweet farewell to these iconic aircraft, including the beloved F-HPJA.

My first A380 Aviationtag and I love it! (Both, the Aviationtag and the A380 of course:D)
"Bon vol" to all the AF A380 tags still flying around the world!
Nice to see a colourful edition of an A380 avtag! Congrats for your 100th edition!
Great release, thanks Aviationtag
Nice review of this historic model at Air France’s fleet. I saw it many times at Miami Airport, looking so beautiful in both liveries (old one and last one). Sadly until now I did not have the chance to fly on the A380, I have to book a flight soon in the remaining airlines with this model still working. I’m a big fan of the A380, I wish it did age well, but with the current world situation and after the pandemic it’s hard to see how it’s vanishing it’s promising future. Hope Lufthansa keeps it’s A380 fleet flying for many many years, because this giant deserves to shine for many years. Thanks Aviationtag for this edition, hope you restock it, they look so wonderful!
